There are people in this world that talk too much, they don't take time to listen to what they say or the opinions of others. They are quick to anger and have narrow minds. But if you were to not speak and stay back listening to everyone else, you would be amazed at what you learn. There are people in this world who actually are caring and kind, as opposed to what almost everyone says. There are secrets that to the right person would be more treasured than gold. I have seen the joy of life in people's eyes and the darkest greed in someone's heart. I wouldn't say I'm the most eloquent person on this planet, but I'd say I have a fair understanding of the human condition.
I'm not the most talkative person you'll meet, and I may not spill my every secret to you. But I do not turn away from someone I care for. Some would say I'm a great listener, and that I have an ear to lend. The world intriguing to me. I find it fascinating and full of wonder. And I find people are even more fascinating at times. As I had said you'd be amazed at the things you learn from just listening.
The strange thing is, I don't tend to even socialize. I prefer to stick around and just observe with as little input as necessary. I find that it attracts people to me. I've met people from many different walks of life. Some with broken homes and broken hearts. Some from the well off and better living. I don't even know why they'd confide in me. Some would think to use me as a means of confession for their sins, and some would even ask me for information and gossip regarding the people of my surroundings. My experiences have made me into who I am. Quick to listen, slow to judge. It's helped me a lot in life.
