Quite a bit different. Weather is much cooler, foggier and windier. Humidity is always low, even when raining. We have rain forests so that should tell you something about the souther Oregon coast. Mid to northern coast is not as foggy/misty but still cool and mild. Only thing is the wind which blows almost all the time. If it isn't windy it is foggy though, or you can see the fog banks laying offshore a few miles out... just waiting... biding their time.

I think so. Oregon coast is what I like. No real jobs there anymore or what I do anyways but the weather and towns are nice for the most part. Would if could.

You don't like comfortable silences? Only new thing on my end is while on my Southern Oregon/Northern California vacation I got RIF'd. Get paid until Nov15 and all benefits and still "work" for them but don't go in to work. Then 12 weeks pay for my severance package. Been ~two weeks now of no work, starting to get antsy. Have updated my resume and going to start applying for new jobs this week sometime.

Vacation was outstanding. Didn't get the jetboat trip on the Klamath because the boat broke down on the first trip of the day, and being Klamath is small and getting parts isn't easy... if I had it scheduled earlier in the week could have ridden it out and taken an extra day but it was scheduled for the last day of the trip that wasn't a travel day, so no boat trip. Had a great tour of the Redwood park though. Just looked and listened to the guide as he drove us through the park. Everyone got to look and enjoy. Spent some time at several light houses and the old roadside attractions Prehistoric Gardens, Bandon Wildlife Park and Trees of Mystery. Had some great food. Just an overall great time.
